Radar level meter has the advantages of accurate measurement, stable performance, high reliability, easy maintenance, and wide application. It is a commonly used level measurement instrument. So, what are the application fields of radar level gauges, what are the characteristics of different working conditions, and how should the type be selected specifically for different working conditions? The application fields of radar level meters are very wide, covering coal industry, steel industry, metallurgical industry, cement industry, electric power industry, semiconductor industry, water conservancy industry, environmental protection industry (water treatment), coal chemical industry, petrochemical industry, food, and pharmaceutical industries, etc. The following is an introduction to the production links, working conditions and specific selection of radar level gauges in various industries:

1. Coal industry

Radar level meter can be used in raw coal bunker, pulverized coal bunker, coal gangue storage level, coal washing pool and other production links in the coal industry. The application of these production links belongs to the typical solid material measurement. Due to the characteristics of strong dust, low dielectric constant and long range in the working conditions, high-frequency pulse radar level meters are mainly used in the selection of models.

2. Steel industry

The working conditions of the above-mentioned links have the characteristics of strong dust, low dielectric constant and long range. Material measurement in the cement industry is a typical solid material measurement, and the selection application should be based on high-frequency pulse radar level meter.

5. Power industry (thermal power, hydropower, biological power generation)

(Thermal power) raw coal and pulverized coal silo, circulating water pool, low and high-water level, limestone powder silo, ash hopper material level, ash silo, slag silo, desulfurization tower liquid, etc. are the production links in the power industry. For the level measurement of this working condition, a high-frequency radar level meter should be selected when selecting a model.

7. Water conservancy industry

In the water conservancy industry, radar level meters are mainly used in hydrological monitoring, flood control alarm, farmland irrigation and other fields. In these occasions, the signal transmission is far, the power supply voltage is low, and the installation position is greatly affected by the embankment and dam, so the high-frequency radar level gauge with radar waves with a small beam angle should be preferred.

8. Environmental protection and water treatment industry

High-frequency radar is preferred for various oil depots and spherical tanks that have high requirements on accuracy, and high-frequency radar is also preferred for gas cabinets that are prone to oscillating interference signals. Chemical reactors are selected according to actual conditions and parameters.

10. Food and pharmaceutical industry

Radar level meter is mainly used for the measurement of edible oil tanks and soybean meal storage tanks in the food and pharmaceutical industry. The environment of these oil tanks is relatively simple, there are certain requirements for measurement accuracy, and the medical and food industries themselves have relatively high requirements for antenna hygiene. According to the characteristics of the above working conditions, when selecting the type, the high-frequency radar level meter is preferred for the measurement environment with high precision. If there are hygienic requirements, the antenna of the sealed material that meets the hygienic conditions should be selected.
