Product description

MRD9002 series 26G high frequency radar level meter, the measurement distance can reach 80 meters. The antenna is further optimized, and the new fast microprocessor can perform higher-speed signal analysis and processing, so that the instrument can be used for the measurement of various strong corrosive liquids.

Product principle

The radar level antenna emits narrow microwave pulses, which are transmitted downward through the antenna. After the microwave touches the surface of the measured medium, it is reflected and received by the antenna system again, and the signal is transmitted to the electronic circuit part and automatically converted into a level signal (because the microwave propagation speed is extremely fast, the electromagnetic wave reaches the target and is reflected to the receiver. The time taken is almost instantaneous).

The reference surface for measurement is: the bottom surface of the thread or the sealing surface of the flange.

Note: When using radar level timing, make sure that the highest material level cannot enter the measurement blind area (the area shown in D in the figure).


The antenna is small, easy to install; non-contact radar, no wear, and no pollution.

Almost unaffected by corrosion, foam; almost unaffected by atmospheric water vapor, temperature, and pressure changes.

Severe dust environment has little effect on the work of high frequency level gauge.

Shorter wavelengths, better reflection on inclined solid surfaces.

The beam angle is small and the energy is concentrated, which enhances the echo capability and helps to avoid interference.

The measurement blind area is smaller, and good results are also obtained for the measurement of small tanks.

High signal-to-noise ratio for better performance even under fluctuating conditions.

At high frequencies, it is a better choice for measuring solids and low dielectric constant media.

Installation requirements

Mount at 1/4 or 1/6 of the diameter.

Note: The minimum distance from the tank wall should be 200mm.

The top of the conical tank is flat and can be installed in the middle of the top of the tank to ensure that the measurement to the bottom of the cone is guaranteed.

When there is a material pile, the antenna should be vertically aligned with the material surface. If the material surface is not flat and the pile angle is large, a universal flange must be used to adjust the angle of the horn so that the horn can be aligned with the material surface as much as possible. (Due to the problem of echo attenuation and even loss of signal due to the inclined solid surface)
